On to more pressing issues D.  There is a subject I was hoping you could bring up sometime here.  I just heard from a very reliable source that both U>H and Strathroy Hospitals are laying off a significant amount of nurses. Strathroy is closing a whole floor.  I had a friend whose aunt was recently taken by ambulance to the emergency room and waited in the hall for 5 hours with the ambulance people.....Who the heck is doing the emergency calls if they are waiting there??? Another person I know waited 2 days in the emergency room waiting to have surgery done because there were no beds. Apparently this is all do do with meeting their budgets for the year.  They both also have hiring freezes on.It may not seem important now because we are not using it but soon enough our time will come.  We aren't getting any younger.  I will have to get my kids to care for me at home and you....well... I hope the cats are trained in handing out the bedpan.  I think that people are unaware of how bad things really are.  Make them aware.
