Dr. Vanostran

One of the great things about being Canadian is the ability to walk into a hospital and not be turned away. We all know that our health care system does need work but, for the most part, its out of our control. This weekend I will be having an MRI. I got really sick about 12 years ago when I lost use of my right hand and arm. The doctors were testing me for MS. I have had 4 MRIs so this will be my 5th. I have had no problems since then but the doctor thought it was time to have another look. I have such respect for technicians that run the MRI. Im always a bit freaked out when I get inserted in the tube! This is the smallest I have been so I dont think it will be so bad. I hope. I remember my last one because I was freaked out. One of the technicians came in the room as I was being rolled in the tube and from the open end put his hand on my head just so I could feel a bit relaxed. It did the trick. Im not sure what my future holds as far as my health is concerned. I feel much better after having lost over 100 pounds and my daily workout is my biggest addiction. I do know when I get to the hospital and as over worked as they all will be, I will still be greeted with a smile.

Later,

D
