TOONIES FOR TUMMIES FUNDRAISING CAMPAIGN
Key Objective: To raise money to feed hungry school children in the neediest 1000 Ontario elementary schools as identified by regional school boards.

How: Persuade shoppers to add a Toonie to their grocery bill;

When: Friday October 24th through to Thursday November 6th;

Where: 1000 participating grocery stores in Ontario;

Why: 1 in 5 school children go hungry every day.  With your support, we are now feeding 75,000 children a day in 1000 Ontario schools.

Every dollar raised goes back into the budgets for school food.  Schools qualify for help by registering with Breakfast for Learning @ www.breakfastforlearning.ca. The cost of advertising, store kits and administration is funded by The Grocery Foundation from other sources, and not from Toonie donations.

Do Donations Raised Stay in Each Store’s Area?
Yes.  We are able to track donations by store and every effort is made to allocate 100% of a store’s donation back to a school in that store’s community. While very unlikely, if there is not a school right in a store’s community, the donations raised will be allocated to a school in a nearby community.
