A Winnipeg hospital had wait for some antivenin to be flown in from Toronto yesterday before they could fix a man who’d been bitten by a Gaboon viper snake.  The snake is still hanging around, but no one is quite sure where, or how it got there in the first place.

Tim Dack of Winnipeg Animal Services said that finding a snake like this would be a first for the city.

"If this snake is still hidden, it will be curled up and trying to keep warm," said Dack; who added, “if you happen to see him, don’t try to catch him with your face.”
