Last summer I made my own batch of wine because Darrin and Mindy were doing it and it looked like fun.  You pour the stuff in a big jug, wait six weeks and then bottle it.  They recommend waiting for a year to let the real taste unfold.  That probably never happens because no one is that patient.  I made this booze to drink and share, not to stare at it.

I split the batch with my friend Kim because neither of us have enough room to store 30 bottles in our apartments.  We called it "Kensington" after the neighbourhood where Kim lives in Toronto.  We figured that if the wine was so terrible that we couldn't swallow it, we could sell it to foreign tour groups that pass by her house all day.  We never got around to that.  The first batch got drained over the summer and we had a great time doing it.

My second batch is finished.  I just bottled it and now the wait begins.
