I am NOT a scary movie person…but I have seen a few – and for you horror movie junkies…the one’s I’ve seen…are probably like cartoons for you…

but horror movies have come in handy – they’ve taught us a few things along the way
and I’d say the list has gotten pretty big over the years

so here are a few things we’ve learned along the way…


• Do not search the basement, especially when the power has just gone out.

• If you're running from the monster, expect to trip or fall down at least twice, especially  if you are a woman

• When it seems that you've killed the monster, never check to see if it's really dead

• If your car runs out of gas at night, do not go to the nearby deserted-looking house to phone for help

and

• Listen closely to the soundtrack; and pay attention to the audience, since they are usually far more intelligent than you could ever hope to be.
