CHORES = BEING FIT...

Ok...it's the weekend (almost) and it's time to get some chores done...vaccuming, dusting, dishes, scrub the bathroom from top to bottom...

As bad as it sounds...it's actually good for you...(and your back)
Make this a fun task and get fit while you're at it...

 - Keep your back supported - while doing dishes...place one foot in the cupboard below the sink , so your knee is bent and you're leaning in a little. (oh...that feels good already!!!)

 - If vacuuming is on the sked...plant one foot...and then with the other step forward and back - kind of in a fencer's fashion

 - Don't bend at the waist when picking up the kids toys. Bend your knees. If it's something heavy...do the same thing but bring the item close to your body when you lift back up.

and

 - Ironing...something I dread doing...but it MUST be done.
grab a foot stool, and like you did with the cupboard and the dishes...put your foot on a footstool while ironing.
